The subject of banking reform in the United States is perennial. Most of the issues are not new. They have been discussed in the United States for many years. For the past 10 or 20 years, most of the same issues have been presented, debated, re-presented in Congress, and, with some changes, continue to be discussed. This paper addresses mostly domestic issues, but it also mentions the international aspects of those issues.
