Preface

This volume presents selected decisions and interpretations of the Executive Directors of the International Monetary Fund which were taken or made prior to January 31, 1965, and certain selected documents to which frequent reference is made. The decisions are of a general nature and relate to certain obligations, policies, and procedures under the Articles of Agreement.

This issue contains all decisions that were published in the first and second issues (September 1962 and September 1963), general decisions taken since then, and certain earlier decisions and interpretations which were not incorporated in the previous issues. Decisions of the Executive Directors which have been published in the By-Laws, Rules and Regulations, such as the schedule of charges, are not included.

This issue also contains certain selected documents of the Fund and the United Nations, and certain legislative and executive measures of the host government which are often referred to in the course of the work of the Fund.

Later editions will be issued to keep the collection up to date.
