Abstract

Amendments of the charters of major international organizations are uncommon events and major amendments of them are even more uncommon.139 The amendment of the Articles of the Fund will be studied as an exercise in international law and diplomacy as well as economics. The following are some reflections on the forces that brought about and shaped the amendments and on some of the general characteristics of those amendments.
