Chapters 9 and 10 consist of case studies and some general conclusions on labor market organization and incomes policies since the 1960s in the United Kingdom, Japan, the Federal Republic of Germany, and Canada; and in Austria, the Netherlands, and Norway, These studies illustrate the influence of the salient features of the wage bargaining system in facilitating demand management in Japan and Germany, and the characteristics of the incomes policies, results achieved, and problems encountered in the other five countries.
